Product Notes
Jessica Lange and Alec Baldwin revive their Broadway performances as Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski in Tennessee Williams famed A Streetcar Named Desire. Set in the French Quarter of New Orleans following World War II, Williams story follows Blanche (Lange), a flirtatious Southern belle who adds sexual tension and a range of difficulties to the Kowalski house when she moves in with her sister Stella (Diane Lane) and brother-in-law Stanley (Baldwin). A Streetcar Named Desire also stars Lane (Under The Tuscan Sun, Unfaithful) and John Goodman (Roseanne) and is directed by Glenn Jordan (To Dance with the White Dog). The made-for-TV 1995 adaptation was nominated for four Emmys including Outstanding Lead Actor, Actress and Supporting Actor. The film also earned Lange a Golden Globe for her starring role.
