Alive is the first release that launched Grammy award winning saxophonist Ernie Watts label Flying Dolphin Records. It is also the first live solo recording of his career. Watts is in fine form with his own quartet setting the stage for his dynamic improvisation. Watt's own tune Angel's Flight and the Mingus tune Nostalgia in Times Square are but two of the highlights found on this release.
