Product Notes
2007 release from Roman Flugel and Jorn Elling Wuttke's Alter Ego Project. Kicking off with the immensely silly synth squelches of the title track, the duo instantly achieve that ideal balance between tongue-in-cheek dance floor swagger and Pop fluency. The bumblebee-in-a-blender melodies of 'Gary' are similarly magnificent, keeping the drums low in the mix in favor of some outlandish filtrations and all-out electro-schlock. Keeping it foolish (as Nathan Barley might have it), two-stepper 'F***ingham Palace' continues to use bleepy digital synthesis in the least musical fashion imaginable, yet still squeezes some sort of tune out of the exercise. Maintaining the royal theme, 'Queen Anne's Revenge' takes things to more club-friendly extremes, with some ace metallic flange making an unruly mess of the production, and bringing to mind Errorsmith's most comprehensively dismantled material, albeit with a grand inflation of scale and an added element of digital riffing. Klang Elektroniks.
