Product Notes
This documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was soon presented on PBS, examines the personal and cultural effects of Woodstock. The festival took place just days after the moon landing and found a generation rooted in conflicts over sexual politics, civil rights and the Vietnam War. "3 Days of Peace and Music" marked a change in generational American values and this film turns the focus away from the performers and onto the audience. Who were the half a million young people? What stories did they bring to the festival, what did they experience there and what did they take with them once they exited Yasgur's farm? 96 minutes. PBS.
