In the 1950s there were only a handful of films produced in Britain that could lay any claim to the status of musical. One such film As Long As They're Happy (1955) starred the effervescent Jean Carson (later known as Jeannie Carson). Jeannie had become a star overnight in her 1952 West End stage appearance in the hit musical Love from Judy.
