Product Notes
Grifter Martin Taylor (Sting) thought he'd spied an easy mark in middle-class Londoner Tom Bates (Denholm Elliott), and wheedled out that he and his wife Amy (Joan Plowright) were caregivers for their traumatized and comatose daughter Pattie (Suzanna Hamilton). Claiming to be a concerned ex-boyfriend of Pattie's, Martin insinuated himself into the household-but his charm and cunning will only take him so far. Dennis Potter adapted his controversial teleplay for the big screen; Richard Loncraine directs. 85 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English; Subtitles: English (SDH); audio commentary; featurettes; theatrical trailer.
