Product Notes
When Chinese detective Charlie Chan (Warner Oland) is invited to spend a leisurely weekend at a gorgeous English estate, his host (Alan Mowbray) is excited beyond words when the famous sleuth accepts. That excitement turns to terror when one of the other guests is murdered and his son Neil (Ray Milland) seems to be the most obvious suspect. An Agatha Christie-like series of suspects, from a sultry guest (Drue Leyton) to the host himself, make Chans job that much more difficult. A series of cryptic notes and suspicious happenings at a foxhunt slowly lead Chan through his paces. Eventually, the detectives keen mind is able to figure out the killer and salvage the rest of his weekend visit.
