Wanda Jackson was a country singer who embraced rockabilly and rock 'n' roll during the 50's to the extent that she earnt the title of "The Queen of Rockabilly", having success across the country, pop and UK charts with a style that often transcended the genres as she made the country and pop charts with hits like "I Gotta Know" and "Right Or Wrong", not to mention her breakthrough UK hits with "Mean Mean Man" and "Let's Have A Party". This great-value 58-track 2-CD set comprises the A and B sides of all her singles on the Decca and Capitol labels from her 1954 debut through to 1962. It naturally features all the hits mentioned above, along with all her other country and pop chart entries from this era, notably her biggest Top 10 country hit "In The Middle Of A Heartache". It provides a thorough trawl across her early career, charting her progression from country cowgirl to rockabilly royalty, and encompassing her primary career as a pop-focused artist, before she turned her attention back to the country scene.
