Product Notes
In this classic tale of jealousy and revenge, June Lang stars as Connie, a young woman whose only desire is to marry lighthouse keeper Sam Wells (Don Castle). When she finds out he's already married, she seeks revenge by marrying his fellow-lighthouse keeper Hank Armitage (John Litel). All three end up living together in the crowded confines of the lighthouse. This arrangement sets the stage for melodrama and shows Connie that there are pitfalls when one marries for spite. Director Frank Wisbar was an acclaimed German filmmaker who was honored in film festivals around the world. Lighthouse (1947) came during his time in America where he'd emigrated during the war years.
