Product Notes
A wife discovers her husband has spent his war years serving his country and girlfriends in this spirited romantic comedy starring Deborah Kerr, Rossano Brazzi and Maurice Chevalier. When dashing French officer Charles Edouard de Valhubert (Brazzi) sweeps Englishwoman Grace Allingham (Kerr) off her feet, it leads to a whirlwind courtship, a hasty marriage and a baby boy named Sigi. Called back to service while on honeymoon. Charles doesn't return for nine years, having performed his duty for a number of women as well as the country of France. Ignoring her husband's uncle (Chevalier), who insists philandering is the French way of life, Grace splits up with Charles. Unaware their chances of getting back together are being blocked by her son, who relishes the individual attention he's receiving and is determined to keep them apart.
