Coyote Waits

When Navajo tribal policeman Jim Chee (Adam Beach) pulled a mortally wounded colleague from his burning patrol car, and found drunken shaman Ashie Pinto (Jimmy Herman) wandering down the road with a discharged pistol, the case looked open and shut. A relative’s insistence on Ashie’s innocence, however, pulls Chee and Lt. Joe Leaphorn (Wes Studi) into a mystery involving a Vietnamese refugee family and a lost artifact.
