Product Notes
Dark Journey - Digitally Remastered Screen legend Vivien Leigh ("Gone With the Wind," "A Streetcar Named Desire") and Conrad Veidt ("Casablanca") star in this 1937 romantic thriller as two World War I spies who meet and fall in love. Madeline Goddard (Leigh) is a Swedish shop owner who doubles as an intelligence agent for the British army during World War I, using her country's neutrality to travel back and forth without suspicion between the countries at war. She is tasked with befriending a German officer (Conrad Veidt) but her professional mission becomes too personal as she begins to fall in love with the man. As war rages on, each is torn between the duties to their countries and the passion of their romance.
