Product Notes
Beth Hoyson (Beverley Mitchell, 7th Heaven), a single working-class mom, sacrifices everything to make sure her talented daughter Melanie (Jenna Warren, The Next Step) can follow her passion and attend Gabbys, a top-notch Dance Academy. Melanie and her best friend, Sara Greyson (Hailey Kittle, 2nd Generation) are two of the best dancers in the class, and now have the chance to compete in a big dance-off contest for a sizable cash prize and dance scholarship. Saras mom, Jeanette (Christina Cox, Shadow Hunters, Elysium) is a jealous and an overly competitive dance mom, who will stop at nothing to see her daughter win. She was always resentful that she gave up her own professional stage career to become a housewife, so when her husband Dean (Doug Murray, Spotlight) threatens to divorce her if she continues to put the competition above the familys well being, she sees her only way out of the troubled marriage is to make sure her reluctant daughter takes home the grand prize. The problem is there is only one person standing in the way. And that's Melanie Hoyson. Jeanette hatches an evil plan to make sure her daughters little competitor never makes it to the event. Soon Beth learns that her daughter has gone missing. Afraid and fearing for her safety, Beth takes control, like only a mother can, and sets out to rescue her daughter rom Jeanettes dangerous web before it's too late.
