Climie Fisher were the British pop duo consisting of vocalist Simon Climie and former keyboardist Rob Fisher. At the very start of 1988, they released their debut album 'Everything' (UK #14, Germany #7, The Netherlands #13, South Africa #1, US #120). Before teaming up as Climie Fisher in 1986, both members had considerable success. Simon sang backing vocals and/or played keyboards on several high-profile albums including 'Shine' - the second, English language solo album by ABBA member Frida (1985) and 'Cupid & Psyche 85' by Scritti Politti (1985). He also co-wrote 'I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)' (1986), the international blockbuster single by Aretha Franklin and George Michael. Rob had chart success as one half of the British duo Naked Eyes. They released two albums that spawned the hit singles 'Always Something There To Remind Me' (1983), 'Promises, Promises' (1983), 'When The Lights Go Out' (1983) and '(What) In The Name Of Love' (1984). Six singles were released from 'Everything' - 'Keeping The Mystery Alive' (The Netherlands #30), 'Love Changes (Everything)' (UK #67, Germany #35), 'Rise To The Occasion' (UK #10, Germany #14, The Netherlands #1, South Africa #1), 'Love Changes (Everything) (Remix)' (UK #2, Germany #7, South Africa #2, Australia #23, US #23), 'This Is Me' (UK #22, The Netherlands #34), and 'I Won't Bleed For You' (UK #35). The album was produced in two halves with five tracks produced by Stephen Hague (Pet Shop Boys) and five produced by Steve Lillywhite (U2). An additional track, 'Rise To The Occasion (Hip Hop Mix)', was produced by Stephen Hague with additional production and remix by Phil Harding (Bananarama, Kylie Minogue).
