Product Notes
Two-disc set includes: Flesh And Fantasy (1943)A trio of fantastic "twist ending" tales comprises this hauntingly memorable anthology. A plain woman (Betty Field) hopes a supposedly enchanted Mardi Gras mask can charm a handsome reveler (Robert Cummings); a socialite (Edward G. Robinson) who mocked a psychic (Thomas Mitchell) comes to rue a prediction of murder; and an aerialist (Charles Boyer) meets the woman of his dreams (Barbara Stanwyck)... but those dreams involve his death fall. Robert Benchley co-stars. 94 min. BW/Rtg: NR Dead Of Night (1945)One of the most chilling films ever made, this British anthology follows a group of visitors to a remote country manor as they relate their nightmares to one another. An antique looking glass reflects an ancient crime, in "The Haunted Mirror"; a "Christmas Party" is visited by a ghost; "The Ventriloquist's Dummy" begins taking on a life of it's own; there's terror on the green, in "Golfing Story"; and, a race car driver has a grisly vision of the future, in "Hearse Driver." Mervyn Johns, Sally Ann Howes, Michael Redgrave star. 104 min. BW/Rtg: NR Standard; Soundtrack: English LPCM mono; Subtitles: English (SDH); audio commentary; video essay; documentary; interviews; photo gallery; theatrical trailer; more. Region Free
