Product Notes
Louis Garrel of the Dreamers stars as Francois, a young photographer who begins an intense affair with unstable actress Carole (Laura Smet of the Bridesmaid). But when Carole's husband returns and Francois pursues a new romance with family-minded Eve (Clementine Poidatz), their delicate worlds will come apart in a heartbreaking reflection of pain, passion and obsession. If love is ultimately a universe of two, is there any escaping the one we truly desire? Director Philippe Garrel (Regular Lovers) creates a sensuous journey through melancholy via sumptuous black and white cinematography and electrifying performances for a film that critics worldwide have compared to the best of Cocteau and Antonioni.
