Product Notes
Don't be fooled by some of the IMDB ratings, this is really a pretty good film-fine acting, a very good music score, intelligent script, solid production values, and great lab scenes. Stevens is a determined scientist experimenting with the suspended animation of chimps. Next on the docket humans! He makes the decision to use himself as a guinea pig. Right about the time he goes into deep freeze, though, his wife suddenly ends up dead and he comes under suspicion of murder. Will he wake from his frozen state only to be dragged off to jail? Lawrence is terrific as his sleazy, jealous wife. The lab scenes in this film are very well done. Undoubtedly the best video edition around of this very underrated and underappreciated sci-fi thriller. From a beautiful 35mm print. PLEASE NOTE: Frozen Alive is presented in it's original European 1.66:1 anamorphic format for the first time on home video.
