Product Notes
The indomitable Glenn Ford offered his incredible talent and imposing screen presence to a variety of genres during the heyday of the Hollywood Golden era. But there is no doubt the extraordinary mark he may be best known for leaving lands in the Western genre. He fearlessly takes on injustice with wit and weapon in these three Western features. So saddle up, hold on tight and enjoy the ride with Lust For Gold (Ida Lupino, Gig Young. 1949/90 min), as he searches for, finds and then loses a gold treasure and true love. Next up is The Man From Colorado (William Holden. 1948/100 min), in which two friends return home after fighting in the Civil War to find that it has made one of them psychologically damaged and violent. Then in A Time For Killing (Inger Stevens. 1967/88 min), Confederate POWs escape from a Union prison and head to the Mexican border and kill a Union courier along the way, not knowing that the courier carried the message that the war was over and peace had been declared.
