Product Notes
Rosalinda Amendola (Terry Moore) is the poor but happy daughter of former acrobat, Louie Amendola (Jimmy Durante). She is in love with aspiring composer Pete Dingle (Tom Drake), who lives next door. Pete's parents are wealthy, but his miserly father Frank Dingle (Frank Orth), hides his money in a wall of their family home. When vaudeville performer Joe Mahoney (Jimmy Conlin) falls on hard times, he must leave his friend and companion, Rupert a dancing squirrel to fend for himself with other squirrels in a tree. Unhappy with tree life, Rupert gains access to the Dingle home, and makes his bed in Frank's hidden cache of money. Rupert clears his room by throwing Frank's money down a hole where it floats into the impoverished Amendola household. The newly found wealth of Mr. Amendola (Jimmy Durante) attracts the attention of the FBI, IRS and local police, who converge on his house to discover the source of the family's newly acquired wealth. Will things work out for the Amendola family? Is this money from Heaven the Christmas wish they were hoping for? Watch this moving and timeless movie to find out!
