Actor-singer Bobby Darin hits the dusty trails of the Wild West in the rowdy, riveting Gunfight in Abilene. After surviving a tragedy in the Civil War, Cal Wayne (Darin) returns home to find his former sweetheart (Emily Banks) engaged to marry the brother of the man he killed. He decides not to win her back and takes on the role of sheriff to appease his feelings of guilt.
