Product Notes
Lillian and Dorothy Gish star in D.W. Griffiths stirring love story set during the first World War. Though this film has come under fire for it's brutal depiction of German soldiers, it's still remarkable for it's scale and scope, and it's no-holds-barred look at war. Griffith shot most of the movie in Southern California, but also gained permission from the British government to film in highly restricted areas of England. Also, look for uncredited appearances by Noel Coward and Erich von Stroheim!
