Product Notes
Hitler's SS: Portrait in Evil - Digitally Remastered. Brother is pitted against brother under the shadow of the Third Reich. John Shea and Bill Nighy star in this historical drama as Helmut and Karl Hoffman, brothers who come of age at the start of Hitler's rise in Germany. Helmut joins the SS and climbs the ranks to become a successful officer, while Karl becomes a member of the SA. When the SS eventually topples the SA, Karl is sent to a concentration camp and forced to fight on the Russian front. This war-themed melodrama examines not only the tumultuous dynamic between two brothers but also the fierce rivalry within Nazism and it's dramatic effects on Germany and the Third Reich. The all-star supporting cast includes Carroll Baker, Tony Randall, and David Warner.
