Butcher Benton (played by Lon Chaney Jr.., who has almost no dialogue in the film) is executed after being betrayed by his partners in crime and attorney. However, a scientists experiments revive him and he becomes an unstoppable killer, impervious to bullets or other weapons. He proceeds to search for his former crime partners to pay them back for selling him out.
