Distance

Distance features the unusual combination of accordionist Yueming Xu with saxophonist Michael Krenn in repertoire that ranges from the baroque to contemporary eras. Along with arrangements of seminal Baroque masterworks, Distance presents the accordion-saxophone interplay to distinctive effect with contemporary compositions by Krzysztof Penderecki, Toru Takemitsu, Luciano Berio, Astor Piazzolla and also includes Theodor Burkali's SaxAccordia, a piece written for and dedicated to the performers.
