Also on the bill, our favorite mad villain Tod Slaughter stars in two classic melodramas full of dastardly and beastly deeds. In Slaughter's first film, MURDER IN THE RED BARN (1935) Tod is a laughing, leering, hand-wringing fiend who revels in murder and his own repugnance. In THE FACE IN THE WINDOW (1939) Tod stars as Chavalier Lucio Del Gardo, goes around planting knives in the back of his prey, who are transfixed by his drooling, wolf-like face. Altogether a not-to-be-missed feast of demonic tricks and treats.
