Product Notes
At the New York magazine Blush, Maya Gallo (Laura San Giacomo), a journalist with a razor-sharp wit who suddenly finds herself out of a job, reconciles with her father, publisher and oft-wed ex-womanizer Jack Gallo (George Segal), and accepts his offer to come to work for him. At Blush, Maya runs into a talented but headstrong staff that includes fashion editor and neurotic ex-model Nina Van Horn (Wendy Malick), lecherous in-house photographer Elliott DiMauro (Enrico Colantoni), and her father's wise-cracking, power-hungry assistant, Dennis Finch (David Spade). Maya is surprised to discover that her father's fourth wife, one of Maya's former high school classmates, is having a baby. And though her efforts to mold the magazine into something she can be proud of are subverted by Jack and her colleagues, Maya remains committed to staying the course.
