Product Notes
Paulette Goddard, Ray Milland and Patric Knowles star in the rags to riches period film Kitty about a young woman from the slums who charts a path to outrageous fortune. After famed artist Thomas Gainsborough paints her portrait, sassy Kitty (Goddard) sees her prospects rise as members of the nobility take note of her unknown beauty. However, when penniless Sir. Hugh Marcy (Milland) takes her under his wing and tries to pass her off as a real lady in a lucrative marriage deal, Kitty decides that it is high-time she take control of her own destiny. It is not long before the reformed wench is surprising them all in this lavish production set in eighteenth-century England.
