Adam Schroeder's second release is all about interaction and having fun playing music. "Let's" is not just the title track and a composition by the great Thad Jones. It's a concept and the beginning of a phrase that will become a musical conversation steeped in joy and jocularity. Five of the tunes are original compositions by Schroeder and the other six are seldom heard scores by the likes of Benny Carter, Duke Pearson, Stevie Wonder and others. The group consists of seasoned pros who play together often enough that they can finish each other's sentences.
