Product NotesHere are four Poverty Row movies on two discs, all from Majestic Pictures: THE WORLD GONE MAD (1933) Pat O'Brien, Evelyn Brent, Neil Hamilton, Mary Brian. O'Brien plays a snappy reporter who tries to solve the murder of a district attorney, who was rubbed out for discovering a massive stock fraud. The new D.A. might have a bullet with his name on it, too! From 16mm. SING SINNER SING (1933) Paul Lukas, Leila Hyams, Don Dillaway, Ruth Donnelly. A gorgeous singer on a gambling ship finds herself in a load of trouble when her wealthy playboy husband is murdered. All the evidence (of course) points to her. Before she knows it she's on trial for murder. From 16mm. THE SIN OF NORA MORAN (1933) Zita Johann, John Miljan, Alan Dinehart, Paul Cavanagh. A very unusual poverty row film with slight fantasy elements near film's end. Johann is Nora Moran, a pretty young gal with a sordid past, who finds herself sentenced to death for murder. Although she can prove her innocence, she refuses. Why? From 35mm. NIGHT ALARM (1934) Bruce Cabot, Judith Allen, H.B. Warner, Sam Hardy. An energetic reporter gets a chance to investigate a series of arson-set fires. In a strange twist, a wealthy businessman, the mayor, and the police chief all fall under suspicion. Lots of twists and turns in this very entertaining poverty row goodie. Details
