Michelle (Emma Roberts) was done with the commitmentphobia of her guy Allen (Luke Bracey) and decided that the answer would rest in finally having the long-deferred sitdown with both her folks (Diane Keaton, Richard Gere) and his (Susan Sarandon, William H. Macy).
