Product Notes
The official funeral ceremony for the late August the Strong 1733 were also designed the music, the music of Jan Dismas Zelenka (1679-1745) was born, who was involved since 1726 increasingly in the management of music for the Catholic Hofgottesdiensten. Since the death in 1729 Heinichen he wore as acting music director responsible for church music, without having received ever this title and to be later passed over in favor hatred. The music for Totenofficium and Requiem for the funeral of Augustus the Strong is not only one Zelenka's remarkable achievements at all, but embodied in it's stylistic breadth also a kind of final Summa Dresdner church music between 1720 and 1733. Václav Luks and his Collegium 1704 have for Accent the first time the complete music Zelenka recorded for the occasion.
