Product Notes
ONE OF THE MISSING: Should He Live or Die? An adaptation of the short story by Ambrose Bierce, set during America's Civil War, it follows the grim fortunes of a scout who becomes trapped in the rubble of a bombed-out house behind enemy lines. The Sniper is now in a life or death situation; we are left to decide whether we should feel for him or hope he gets his just deserts. Flashbacks to the sniper's childhood will muddy your decision, which will make it hard to guess the surprise ending. AN OCCURRENCE AT OWL CREEK BRIDGE: Based on the Ambrose Bierce short story and set during the Civil War, a Southern man has been condemned to die by hanging for his attempt to sabotage a railroad bridge. As the rope is about to snap his neck, he is saved by a near-miracle, and makes an escape home to his loving wife... or did he? A Winner of the Grand Prix at Cannes, and an Academy Award for Best Short Subject.
