This is the 2nd Evidence album of Santi Debriano, one of New York's finest bass players. The sound of his instrument does not dominate the program here - Debriano is a fine composer and bandleader, focusing on a group sound. Born in Panama and influenced by that region's music, he joins forces with fellow Panamanian jazz star tenor saxohonist David Sanchez to explore the Latin rhythms of their birth place. They are joined by David Kikoski on piano, Tommy Campbell on drums an Mino Cinelu on percussion.
