Winner of the 1996 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, 4 Tony Awards and numerous other awards, Rent quickly outgrew it's underground beginnings to become a landmark on the level of Hair and a Chorus Line. The show's lyricist/composer/writer Jonathan Larson was inspired by Puccini's La Boheme to write an ingenious and powerful score incorporating pop, rock, R&B, rap, reggae and tango.
