Product Notes
From director Alan J. Pakula (Presumed Innocent, The Pelican Brief), In the mid-1970s, oil prices skyrocketed. Almost overnight, the largest transfer of wealth in human history took place. A new, powerful player became a world economic giant: OPEC. Anything could happen. Rollover, a riveting, globe-hopping doomsday thriller starring Jane Fonda and Kris Kristofferson, is about one of those ominous "anythings." Fonda plays an ex-actress thrust into the leadership of a petrochemical firm when her husband is slain. Kristofferson is a banking consultant aiding her. What they find when they plot a strategy requiring Arab funding to bail her company out of difficulty is nothing less than a fiscal Titanic. And the whole world is along for the ride.
