Product Notes
Upon graduating from West Point in 1854, classmates Jeb Stuart (Errol Flynn) and George Custer (Ronald Reagan) are posted to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, an assignment they are both relishing. On their way to Kansas, Custer and Stuart meet the man in charge of building the railroad and his daughter Kit (Olivia de Havilland), with whom they both fall in love. The state of Kansas is bloodstained and war-torn, a victim of John Browns relentless crusade against slavery. Stuart goes after Brown, but is taken prisoner and trapped in a burning barn. Custer saves Stuart when he leads the cavalry to the rescue and drives Brown into seclusion. Three years go by. Believing that Browns forces have been broken, Stuart and Custer are sent to Washington, D.C., where Stuart proposes to Kit. Brown is not defeated yet and is planning another raid. Will Stuart and Custer be able to thwart Browns plans? Great timeless western with phenomenal stars!
