After losing all their money to a thieving business manager, video store mogul Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy, who co-created with son Daniel), his soap opera actress wife Moira (Catherine O'Hara), and their grown children David (Daniel Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy) must abandon their upscale lifestyle.
