After two highly acclaimed Onyx albums devoted to the chamber music of Brahms, focused on the works featuring Viola, Maxim Rysanov now turns his attention to Robert Schumann in a mix of repertoire showcasing the viola and the clarinet. Rysanov has arranged a selection of songs from Schumann's two great song cycles, and they are extraordinarily effective as viola and piano miniatures. He is joined by Dasol Kim on piano and Jonathan Bliss on clarinet.
