On "Drumming for Elements" we hear 20 enthusiastic male and female drummers performing rhythms of the great drumming cultures and tribes. Directed by Thomas Ritthoff (Walking with Sound) the listener will enter a dynamic journey to the energetic qualities of the five elements. The voices of the drums weave into stories and soundscapes, powerfully danceable as well as movingly meditative. This music perfectly suits Trance Dance, working with the 5 Rhythms, Contact Improvisation and Free Dance. The order of the tracks follows the structure of the Native American medicine wheel.
