Product Notes
London-based band Palace has announced their third album "Shoals", which will be released via Fiction/Virgin Music. "Shoals" is a profound and thoughtful album that boldly explores some of life's biggest questions in it's 12 captivating tracks. It cleverly explores three existential dilemmas against a broader background of wonder at the vastness and power of the ocean and closes it's arc with the stunning opus "Where Sky Becomes Sea". By immersing oneself in themes of the subconscious, dreams and existentialism, "Shoals" is by and large an album about living with and processing fear. The title is inspired by the seemingly unpredictable behavior of schools of fish that change just as quickly as our fears and apprehension about the world around us, frontman Leo Wyndham explains: "It explores and questions what is really tangible and real - what really matters and what we become in death - and the fear of it. The fear of existing and the fear of dying. It's an ode to the power of the ocean and the majesty of nature and how they are sometimes the only things that really feel real, alive and breathing."
