Product Notes
In his directorial debut, actor Adrian Grenier questions the nature of fatherhood and the meaning of family history as he embarks on a personal quest to become reacquainted with his estranged father. After interviewing a wide array of fathers and sons - from strangers he meets outside of Yankee Stadium, to past and present suitors of his mother Karesse - Adrian decides he should meet with his biological father, whom he's convinced is a man named John who lives in Lancaster, OH. Following a series of sometimes-awkward phone calls, John finally agrees to meet Adrian for the first time in 18 years at the Ohio home of John's parents, and the two head off in a cramped boat for a private, heart-to-heart talk. The discussion brings father and son closer together, and sheds light on why John and Karesse separated after Adrian was born. With a newfound sense of self, and after talking again with his mother about the circumstances that led to the couple's estrangement, Adrian reunites with his father one more time - in dramatic fashion.
