Product Notes
This forgotten British old dark house thriller would have been a perfect fit for one of the Forgotten Horrors books. The setting is a creepy mansion filled with secret passageways, trap doors, snake pits, sliding floors, and secret rooms. Pusey's uncle is the mansion's owner who is slain by a falling pillar, pushed over from above by an unknown killer. Inside the mansion gather a number of mysterious people: a sinister Oriental doctor and his servants, a bumbling yet sly butler, a secretive Chinese valet, a stuffy attorney, and a beautiful girl who moves in and out of hypnotic states. What they are all seeking is missing financial assets and a cache of hidden jewels that were stolen from a Chinese temple many years before.
