Ranger Doug - best known as the baritone singer, guitarist and front man of Riders in the Sky, the western harmony and comedy group - is also Douglas B. Green, music historian, and since 1977, one of the premier singer/songwriters celebrating the romance of the great American West. His first solo album presents him the opportunity to share some of his previously unrecorded treasures: "Idaho Moon," "Welcome to the West," "Where the Wild Winds Blow" and "Night Riding Song," among others.
