One of the most expressive voices in jazz history, the amazing Lena Horne made her mark in the jazz world not only as a vocalist of the highest order, but as an actress who broke the color barrier, a civil rights activist and as an ambassador of good will throughout the world. With a career that spanned over 75 years, Lena remained the quintessential American jazz singer.
