Product Notes
Winner of Best Foreign Picture of the Year, this French film considers the heavily scrutinized friendship between a wounded man and a young girl. Pierre, (Hardy Kruger), has a heavy past; when his plane crashed into a Vietnamese village, a child was killed. He returns to France to heal from multiple stress-related traumas, including partial amnesia. Cybele, played by Patricia Gozzi, is a lonely girl at a boarding school. The two begin to see each other, on Sundays, when Pierre poses as her father. And while the friendship appears to lift Pierre out of his depressed state, their relationship is heavily criticized.
