Product Notes
Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner and Emmy-nominee Goldie Hawn (The First Wives Club, Private Benjamin) stars in this nostalgic romantic comedy as a demure World War II housewife whose life is enriched by her job at a homefront factory. There she gains an inspirational buddy (Academy Award, Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Christine Lahti; TV's Jack & Bobby, TV's Chicago Hope, nominated for this role) and reluctantly enters a hot new romance (played by real-life paramour Emmy and Golden Globe-nominee Kurt Russell - Vanilla Sky, Executive Decision). This is Goldie Hawn's best role since 'Private Benjamin,' declares the New York Times, while People Magazine calls this American movie-making at it's lyrical, buoyant best.
