Mutli-talented entertainer Steve Allen hosts an evening of tributes and performances with honorees Al Grey, Illinois Jacquet, Rosemary Clooney, Lou Donaldson, Harry Sweets Edison, Frank Foster, Ray Brown, James Moody, and Lionel Hampton. Joining them as presenters and featured performers are Dorothy Donegan, Wynton Marsalis, Al Jarreau, Junior Mance, Grady Tate, Jimmy McGriff, and the Count Basie Orchestra under the direction of Grover Mitchell.
