Product Notes
In this mystery/horror flick, eight complete strangers are strangely invited to spend the evening together in an opulent mansion. After wine and dinner, they are told through a recording over a radio that they will each be killed, one at a time, unless they can outwit the "ninth guest," who is death. Or does the murderer already sit among them? Each of the guests has a crooked past in some regard, each with something to hide, says the voice over the radio. And sure enough, one by one, the party guests begin to meet untimely deaths right up until a twist at the end. Reminiscent of an Agatha Christie novel, though released well before those, this movie garnered high reviews due to better-than-average writing and suspense. 1934 B&W
