Product Notes
As the Algerian war for independence wound down, French pied-noir Jean (Pierre Prothon) returned to his native land for a possible final visit with his dying vintner father (Jean Pélégri). As he mulls moving back, his encounters with old friends and a changed culture leave him questioning whether the youth he lived was as idyllic as remembered. Rediscovered drama was the sole narrative feature from documentarian James Blue; adapted from co-star Pélégri's novel. 81 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: French; Subtitles: English; bonus documentaries "Amal" (1960), "Citizen Blue" (2017); theatrical trailer. In French with English subtitles.
