This CD would never have been released if the late Nick Brignola were still alive - his thoughts were always on his next project, and Reservoir Music was not able to get him interested in releasing the remainder of the wonderful music recorded during his set at Sweet Basil. On this CD, Nick plays alto, baritone and soprano saxophone, as well as clarinet, joined by pianist Mike Holober on originals and standards.
